Community Support

SMBI Listeners Inc. helps to support our community in a number of ways.

Russell Island

SMBI Listeners Inc. has partnered with a number of Clubs and Coffee Shops to enable the safe collection of cash donations for the families affected by the Russell Island house fire on the morning of 6 Aug, 2023.

A GoFundMe has also been set up to collect donations on behalf of the families involved to pay out towards the funeral expenses, and any remaining money will be disbursed to the families directly. The link to this is: https://GoFund.Me/c317432e

Christmas

SMBI Listeners Inc. has partnered with the Salvation Army for a number of years to bring Christmas Hampers to First Nations and other families in need across SMBI.

In 2022 we also worked with Logan Together and Lighthouse Care to be able to increase our reach to SMBI families and children.

We are looking towards increasing this cooperation throughout and beyond 2023.
